We are excited to offer a 12 Month Retail Traineeship to an enthusiastic and motivated candidate in Pittsworth, located 30 minutes from Toowoomba.
This is a unique opportunity offering the successful applicant experience in Mail Processing, Retail Operations, Financial Services and Business Administration.
The traineeship will provide on-the-job scaffolded learning to support a diligent Trainee with progression to further employment.
Working within a Licenced Post Office for Australia Post, you will learn the policies and processes of a nationwide organisation with many future career prospects available.
Your shifts will vary across the duration of your traineeship between 6am and 5pm (further information will be provided during the application process). You will be working part-time commencing with approximately 15 hours a week. There is potential for hours to increase for high-performing Trainees.
While prior experience isn't necessary, a candidate would need to have the following skills:
- an eye for detail
- ability to adhere to rules and follow procedures
- be accurate and efficient
- willing to provide exceptional customer service
- administrative skills
- confidence working with technology (i.e. computers, scanners etc)
- enjoy a range of tasks including retail, financial, administrative and logistics
- keen to explore the scope of needs between consumer and business customers
- follows routines and ad hoc instruction
- capacity to uphold the standards of procedural approach and policy expectations (including during customer-facing transactions)
- align with the values and goals of the business (both Despina Group & Australia Post)
- operate and deliver services under relevant legislation
- be comfortable handling enquiries and complaints in an appropriate and professional manner
- works well within a team and autonomously
- adjusts to change
- performs well under pressure and in a fast-paced working environment
- a friendly demeanour and a positive attitude
